KX is the creator of kdb+, the world's fastest time-series database, widely used in high-frequency trading, capital markets, and AI-driven analytics.

As Senior Technical Writer, I own documentation for two flagship products:

  • KDB.AI – a real-time vector database designed for AI and machine learning workloads
  • PyKX – a Python interface to kdb+ enabling high-performance analytics for Python developers

Key responsibilities:

  • Author and maintain RESTful API documentation, technical guides, and developer resources for an audience of data scientists, quantitative analysts, financial engineers, and enterprise IT teams
  • Strategically organise documentation architecture to optimise accessibility, discoverability, and clarity
  • Collaborate directly with software engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and comprehensive coverage
  • Conduct thorough reviews and copyediting of content produced by team members
  • Align documentation releases with software release schedules in an Agile environment
  • Monitor competitor documentation to benchmark quality and identify improvement opportunities
  • Incorporate user feedback and industry best practices to continually raise documentation standards

PrimaryBid – Technical Writer II (2022–2023)​

PrimaryBid is a fintech platform that democratises access to IPOs and share offerings for retail investors.

  • Wrote 45,000 words of user guides for internal apps and external web platforms, client-facing emails, UX content, and product content
  • Owned the Connect API Developer Portal – a readme.io site with API documentation, code samples, and changelogs for software engineers self-serving API adoption
  • Collaborated cross-functionally with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams as an embedded Agile technical writer
