Education
On paper, none of this reads as a technical writer's education. In practice, each degree taught a different piece of the same job: reading structure before prose, treating a rule as literally as a lawyer would, writing for people who didn't ask to be addressed, and understanding the systems I document instead of translating them secondhand.
Second Bachelor's Degree – History and Theory of Arts (2013–2016)
George Enescu University of Arts Faculty of Visual Arts and Design · 2013–2016
I spent three years studying visual grammar and structural composition, learning to read a layout before I read its words. It's why the site maps and diagrams in this portfolio are built audience-first and flat on purpose, not illustrated after the fact.
Master's Degree – Public Relations and Advertising (2010–2012)
Al. I. Cuza University of Iași Faculty of Philosophy · 2010–2012
I learned to write for an audience that didn't ask for the message – exactly what a developer scanning docs for one answer is doing. It's also where I learned to keep SMEs engaged through a review, not just chase their sign-off.
Master's Degree – European Law (2009–2011)
Al. I. Cuza University of Iași Faculty of Law · 2009–2011
I spent years interpreting statutory language, learning to draw a hard line between what a rule requires and what it merely allows. That's the same discipline behind every MUST/SHOULD/MAY boundary and review cycle in this portfolio.
Postgraduate Studies – Financial-Banking Management (2007–2008)
Al. I. Cuza University of Iași Faculty of Economics and Business Administration · 2007–2008
I learned how transactional and risk systems actually operate, not just how they're described. That's why documenting failover, redundancy, and audit trails for trading infrastructure doesn't feel like translating someone else's domain.
Universidade do Algarve, Faro, Portugal (2007)
Socrates Erasmus Scholarship Finance · 2007 (5 months)
International exchange scholarship – one of several experiences that established a foundation in European finance and a working knowledge of Portuguese.
Bachelor's Degree – Banking and Finance (2003–2007)
Al. I. Cuza University of Iași Faculty of Economics and Business Administration · 2003–2007
This is where I got my quantitative grounding – reading financial models, not just financial statements. It's why documenting KDB.AI's vector search and PyKX's analytics doesn't need someone else translating the math first.
